The Alsea Firewood Company is a family-owned and operated business. The objective of the business is to bring the Skaer family together and provide for their needs.
An Oregon native, Adam happily settled his family in Alsea after serving as a sniper in the U.S. Army and deploying to Iraq three times.
Shortly after moving to Alsea, Adam became involved in various aspects of forestry, eventually becoming a member of the Associated Oregon Loggers, earning his Oregon Professional Logger certification and starting a tree removal business.
Gradually, it became clear that the best and safest way to involve children in forestry work was by producing firewood. The Skaer kids can often be seen providing valuable “supervision” during firewood deliveries!
Today, the Skaer family is focused on supplying the world’s highest quality firewood to folks in Benton and Lincoln counties.
